Job title: Head of Commercial

Date joined:
 November 2013

Specialises in: Commercial investment and owner-occupier mortgages, holiday let mortgages, complex buy to let and property development finance (including developer exit loans and large bridging facilities).

Role: Heading up the commercial desk at MFB, it’s Andy’s responsibility to ensure the team are performing at their best and have access to the resources they need to do so.

He has a long-standing client base, predominantly in the commercial investment and owner-occupier mortgage sectors, but also looks after many investors with hotels, pubs, restaurants and retail businesses. Andy and the commercial team have championed the niche market of holiday lets, working with lenders to offer more innovative products in this area for the benefit of their clients.

He prides himself on being able to ‘think outside the box’ and approach even the most complex of cases with a ‘can-do attitude’ in order to source the best finance for his clients.

Experience: Andy has been in the financial industry for 25 years; spending ten years with Christie Group as a commercial mortgage broker, where he concentrated on property finance for retail businesses and the leisure and care sectors. Prior to this, he spent nine years with NatWest in a variety of roles, including Business Manager at Bromley and Bexleyheath, where he was responsible for more than 300 business clients. Andy holds qualifications in Business Banking and Conduct (CertBB&C) and Certificates in Mortgage Advice and Practice (CeMAP).
